May 9, 2020 – As promised, Xiaomi has finally launched the most awaited Mi 10 5G smartphone in India yesterday. It is probably the first flagship Mi series which has launched in India after 4 years. The Mi 10 could have been launched in March but delayed because of COVID-19. Finally, the company has launched the device and sales will start soon.
First of all, let’s discuss pricing and when it will be available
The Mi 10 smartphone has been launched in two variants. The base variant, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 49,999 and its upper end with 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM at Rs. 54,999.
Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi India head, has already told that the price of Mi 10 lineup is going to be on higher side as compared to its China pricing because of rise of GST at 18% on smartphone. The company now has to pay 50% higher tax than before. The Mi 10 is available on Amazon India’s website for pre-booking and the official online store of Xiaomi, mi.com.
Along with 0% EMI in different banks, buyers can get up to Rs. 3000 as cashback using HDFC debit/credit cards. For pre-booking Mi 10 before May 17, all the buyers will get Rs. 2499 worth of wireless powerbank from Xiaomi from free. According to the official Xiaomi’s website, the Mi 10 smartphone will be available from May 18 onwards.
Now let’s come to its features –
Mi 10 boasts full HD+ 6.67” huge AMOLED screen with refresh rate of 90Hz. It has got premium 3D curved display with touch sampling of 180Hz so it will perform better in terms of touch sensitivity. The maximum brightness is 1120 nits, which means you can see the display even on bright sunlight. In addition, the huge display has 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Now comes the first major highlight of this smartphone – the 108MP primary sensor which is 1/1.33 inch large, and is supported by f/1.69 aperture, 4-in-1 1.6μm Super Pixels, and 7-piece lens. It can also capture RAW images. It also has ultra-wide angle 13MP lens with f/2.4 aperture and max 123° FoV. It is also coupled with 2MP macro lens (f/2.4) and 2MP depth sensing camera (f/2.4).
The second major highlight is its most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset coupled with LPDDR5 8GB RAM. It has LiquidCool 2.0 vapor chamber cooling tech with graphene and 6-stack graphite cooling mechanism. It has got UFS 3.0 internal storage for lightning fast file transfer and flawless experience.
Battery and Charging
Under the box, the device comes with 30W fast charger and USB Type-C charging cable. The device is powered by a huge 4780mAh battery and USB C-type charging port for quick charging. It supports both wireless and wired charging of 30W or less. Even better, it also supports up to 10W of reverse charging. It means you can also charge other devices with this smartphone.
Along with Mi 10, Xiaomi has also introduced Mi Box 4K and TWS earbus. These devices will also be available on Mi.com.
